Wow. What a turnout!  PV Waste Solutions teamed up with Mrs. Ewert-Molesky’s Grade 3 class at Grant Road School to help raise money for their latest classroom project. Mrs. Ewert-Molesky  has always been a passionate leader and educator when it comes to environmental education and sustainability and PV Waste Solution was delighted to help her not only raise money but divert waste from the landfill.  On Saturday May 2nd we set up at the Grant Road School parking lot and accepted scrap metal from anyone looking to get rid of it.  It’s amazing what we consider junk and shocking to find out what hits the landfill here in Regina.  By simply setting up disposal bins and forwarding a few emails we managed to divert $600 worth of scrap metal.  2 -20 yard bins, 1- 15 yard and 1- 12 yard bin were loaded with items and hauled to Wheat City Metals for recycling.    A special thank you to Nathan Galusha and his team at WCM.   They also volunteered their services to sort the items in the bin and gave us special pricing for our fundraiser.  It’s amazing what happens when a community gets together and supports one another.  If you interested in hosting a fundraiser or having a community clean up contact Karen and she’ll guide you through the easy process.
